summary of the position and duties (senior chef de partie)

As a senior cook, you are mainly responsible for carrying out your work in the right way and setting a good example.

Responsibilities

• responsible for the correct execution of the work as described in the flow of M&P andservice document
• responsible for supervising the correct working methods of junior colleagues when head chef / sous chef are not at work
• responsible for a professional, open and hospitable appearance to guests and colleagues
• responsible for reporting any bottlenecks on time
• responsible for implementing agreements and achieving set goals
• ultimately responsible if head chef / sous chef are not present

Tasks

• open and close as indicated on the lists that are given
• responsible for enforcing rules regarding neighbors/municipality (windows/music/terrace etc.)
• share the right knowledge and experience with junior colleagues if necessary
• point of contact for staff if head chef / sous chef are not present
• direct junior staff with opening/closing when head chef / sous chef are not present
• ensure a good mutual atmosphere between colleagues when head chef / sous chef are not present
