Cornerstore is a restaurant in Amsterdam-Noord with a focus on East-Asian flavors and a vibrant, dynamic atmosphere.
Guests can choose from a vegetable focussed set menu (7-10 kitchen dishes with meat/fish options to add) or a la carte dishes.
We mostly use organically and bio dynamically grown products.

Summary of the position and duties
The floor manager is responsible for running a service independently. You are ambitious, decisive and flexible, but you are also accurate and reliable. As floor manager you are ultimately responsible and the point of contact if the restaurant manager is not present.
Responsibilities
- responsible for good relationship with wait staff
- responsible for a professional, open and hospitable appearance to guests and colleagues
- responsible for reporting any bottlenecks on time
- responsible for implementing agreements and achieving set goals (quantitative and qualitative)
Tasks
- devise plan for evening with clear division of waiting staff
- first point of contact with guests
- point of contact for staff on personal/professional matters if restaurant manager is not present
- responsible for enforcing rules regarding neighbors/municipality (windows/music/terrace etc.)
- monitor the time registration of the operating staff when the restaurant manager is not present
- proactively manage for a good mutual atmosphere between colleagues when restaurant manager is not present
- manage and improve basement organization
